Special electronics collection

The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County will host a one-day collection event for Lake County businesses, schools and units of government to drop off broken and unwanted electronics and to have paper documents shredded. The no-cost event is Tuesday, April 28, 8 a.m. to noon, at the Lake County Division of Transportation garage at 600 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville. Businesses, schools and governments will be limited to 100 electronic items (3 pallets or less) and three file boxes or bags of paper documents. Organizations with larger quantities of materials are asked to contact the agency to arrange a special pickup. All businesses, schools and units of government must provide a federal tax identification letter or business card to be permitted to drop off materials during this one day only collection event.
