Donate items to Habitat for Humanity May 2

Habitat for Humanity's ReStore Collection will accept donations of home improvement items from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 2, in the north parking lot of the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

This collection is part of the library's Environmental Fair, jointly sponsored by the library and the village of Schaumburg.

Please donate only items that are truly reusable. No electronics will be collected at this event, due to a recent change in Habitat for Humanity's policy. A list of what is and is not acceptable is available at the reception desk in the library's lobby.

Other events taking place at the fair include free environmental programs and demonstrations. On the same day, the library also will celebrate Comic Book Day for all ages from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
