Burlington Central 13, Genoa-Kingston 5: Jake Johnson hit a 3-run home run and Andrew Wiss was 2-for-4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI as the Rockets (14-3, 6-0) remained undefeated in the Big Northern East. Ryan Anderson (2-for-4, 2B, RBI), Logan Orals (2-for-5), John Murphy (3-for-4, 3 RBI) and Brenden Bushy (RB) also contributed. Johnson earned the win on the hill for BC, allowing 6 hits with 8 strikeouts and 3 walks in 6 innings.
Fenton 9, St. Edward 7: Jake LaFrenz had 2 doubles and 2 RBI and Alex Lara (2B) and Vicente Camarena each had 2 hits and an RBI for St. Edward (5-9) in its Metro Suburban crossover loss. Dylan Murray also drove in 2 runs for the Green Wave. Patrick Costello took the loss.
Westminster Christian 9, Alden-Hebron 5: Luke Weston and Peter Hahn each had triples and an RBI to lead the Warriors (8-9, 4-2) to a Northeastern Athletic Conference win. Ian Merlak went 2-for-3 in the win, Frank Anglulo was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Jarrett Mueller had 2 doubles and an RBI. Justin Rasmussen picked up the win on the mound.
St. Charles North 11, Streamwood 0: Zach Campbell had the only hit for the Sabres (3-11, 2-5) in the Upstate Eight. Adam Sojda took the loss.
Cary-Grove 10, CL Central 6: Nick Kirk had a home run and Mark Smith (3-for-3) added 2 doubles to lead the Trojans (10-6-2) to a Fox Valley Conference crossover win. Daniel Schmidt was 2-for-3 with 2 RBI while Brian Flanagan had 2 RBI and Dominic Calamari, Max Neilson and Quinn Celske each drove in a run. Flanagan was the winning pitcher.
