Ehemann, Mundelein play longball against Stevenson

Sophomore Meghan Ehemann played long ball for Mundelein's softball team Tuesday, as the Mustangs outslugged visiting Stevenson 19-9 in North Suburban Lake Division action.

Ehemann belted 2 home runs, while teammate Karlee Busscher hit her seventh of the season. Maria DeVito doubled twice for Mundelein (13-4, 3-1), which also received a double from Hannah Bulgart.

DeVito (3-for-3), Bulgart (3-for-4), Amanda Diaz (3-for-4), Ehemann (3-for-4), Jordyn West (3-for-4), Maddie Zazas (2-for-5) and Busscher (2-for-4) all had big days at the plate. Nicole Parney pitched 4 innings for the win, and Brenna Adams tossed an inning.

Stevenson got homer runs from Vera Pflugradt, Alyssa Pauly, Emma Oriatti and Alana Labaschin. Both Pauly and Taylor Koenigs were 2-for-3 for the Patriots.

Antioch 8, Grant 2: Taylor Schiltz went 3-for-3 for the visiting Sequoits in the North Suburban Prairie game.

Antioch (15-2, 6-0) also got 2 hits apiece from Hanna Cook and Jill Foote (2 stolen bases, RBI).

McKenzie Sancken had a double for Grant.

Grayslake Central 12, Woodstock 4: The Rams won the Fox Valley Conference game, receiving 2 hits apiece from Teagan Truskowski, Lindsay Brust, Melissa Obis, Maddie Marshall and Emma Eiserman.

Grayslake Central (10-9, 1-1) got doubles from Eiserman, Katie Strickland, Obis, Brandy Heraty and Marshall. Truskowski had 3 RBI, while Strickland and Brust each drove in a pair.

Prairie Ridge 1, Grayslake North 0: Jessica Vaughn suffered the tough-luck loss for the Knights in the Fox Valley game.

Vaughn pitched 7 innings and the only run she allowed was unearned. She allowed 4 hits and 3 walks.

Vaughn also doubled for one of Grayslake North's 4 hits.

Wolves starting pitcher Hailey Baker struck out 10 in a complete-game performance.

Winning pitcher Reagen Radke went the distance in the circle, allowing 3 earned runs and striking out eight.

Vernon Hills 20, Round Lake 6: Sami Saliba was 5-for-6 with a home run and 6 RBI for the visiting Cougars in the North Suburban Prairie game.

Vernon Hills received 3 hits apiece from Anna Cirone and Dana Meline. Rose Ferolo and Izzy Cirone also homered, while Dani Comitor and Anna Cirone doubled.

For Round Lake, Ashley Wegner doubled twice, and Mike Crisantos (3-for-4) and Amanda Olsen (3-for-4, 2 RBI) also hit doubles. Soli Moore was 3-for-4 with 3 RBI.
