The "Voice of Long Grove" slate of trustee-elect/candidates, Bill Jacob, Stan Borys and Michael Sarlitto, would like to express sincere gratitude to all the residents and businesses of Long Grove, both supporters and critics alike, for their active participation in the recent board of trustee election.

By being involved, you took a valuable opportunity to share ideas, voice concerns and get to know each other a bit better as a community.

In addition, we are grateful to the opposing candidate slate. The lively, challenging discourse and diversity of thought will help to better bridge the various and naturally differing community perspectives moving forward.

Finally, we would like to express our sincere thanks to our families, supporters, volunteers and contributors. Without their time, energy, talents and encouragement, our election success would not have been possible

As a community, we are mostly interested in the same things - "to be happy, healthy, at least reasonably prosperous, and secure ... we want friends, peace of mind, good relationships, and hope that tomorrow is going to be even better than today" (Zig Zigler) ... a sustainable world (village) means working together (as a community) to create prosperity for all" (Jacqueline Novogratz) and ... enjoying distinctiveness of which we can all be proud (Michael Sarlitto).
