District 94 looks at future with Community Conversation

Community High School District 94 belongs to the communities of Carol Stream, West Chicago and Winfield. We exist to educate students in grades nine through 12 and do so with the tax dollars and support from the residents of these communities.

But more than that, our school district also must be a reflection of what our residents want it to be. Your elected board of education is in place to be the stewards of your tax dollars, set policy, and carry out a vision of what education should look like at Community High School. In the near future, you will be able to join us to create that vision.

Community High School District 94 will host a Community Conversation from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 25, in the Learning Resource Center. I have been inviting residents, community leaders, current parents, future parents, business owners, Realtors - virtually anyone who has a vested interest in our school district - to join us to be a part of the conversation. I would like to extend this invitation to you as well.

On Saturday, the conversation will begin in a whole-group format in which I will provide a snapshot of who we are, what we do and what our current goals are for the future.

We then will split into groups to discuss what is working, what we can do better and how we can work together for the future benefit of our students. We want to know what you know about us, what you feel we are doing well and what we can improve upon.

There is no need to RSVP. I hope you will join us as we take a small amount of time to make a big impact on the future of Community High School.
