Work out even when you are at work

Everyone knows it's hard to find time to get a full workout in when you're busy at work. However, there are several ways you can still burn calories without interfering with your work schedule.

If you usually drive or take public transportation, and you live close to work, try biking or walking to work. You'll save money and get your body moving.

If you do take public transport, try getting on or getting off at a farther stop than your usual one and walk a further distance to or from the station. This allows you to get some extra steps in before and after work.

If you drive to work, park in a spot farther away from your office building. You will burn more calories walking from a further distance.

When you get to your building, take the stairs and avoid the elevator. Taking the stairs will get your thighs moving and you'll feel the burn.

When you're in the office, make trips walking around. It's important to keep your blood flowing and your muscles moving when you sit for long periods of time.

To ensure you're getting the most out of your routine, incorporate these steps around your workplace. Moving to, from and during work makes a big difference in your everyday health. Follow these steps and more as a part of The Fittest Loser Challenge sponsored by Assurance.
