Hoffman Estates man charged in Schaumburg with Xanax possession
A Hoffman Estates man stopped for a traffic violation early Friday was charged with possession of a controlled substance, prosecutors said.
Schaumburg police stopped Kenneth Lambert, 22, in the vicinity of Dunsford Court and Portland Drive about 1:45 a.m. Friday, prosecutors said.
The officer recovered several Xanax tablets, said Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Gbenga Longe.
Lambert, who was on parole for a 2013 robbery conviction, was ordered held on $100,000 bail, Longe said.
If convicted he faces up to three years in prison, Longe said.
Lambert next appears in court on May. 7.
