Learn how to prevent, manage hypertension with Presence St. Joseph Hospital

ELGIN - One of every three American adults has high blood pressure, also known as hypertension. Left uncontrolled, it can increase your risk for dangerous health conditions such as heart disease, stroke, and kidney disease.

To learn what you can do to prevent or manage this condition and live a healthier life, come to a free "Living with Hypertension" presentation with Manny Angeles, a certified nurse practioner, and Lindsay Veno, advanced practice nurse and board certified nurse practitioner.

They will discuss: causes of hypertension, risk factors, treatment options, and lifestyle with hypertension.

The program will be held 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 7, in the Ward Education Center at Presence St. Joseph Hospital, 77 N. Airlite St. in Elgin.

Seating is limited! The presentation is free, but registration is required by Monday, May 4.
