Children, youth theater companies perform this weekend

The Cary Park District's Children's Theater Company of Cary will host a performance of "Princess Who?" at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at Cary Junior High School, 2109 Crystal Lake Road. The play is written by Brian D. Taylor.

Thirty actors in second to fifth grade have been developing confidence, creativity and working on memorization and listening skills by being a part of the Children's Theater Company of Cary. The cast has been rehearsing since January. The performance is directed by Kelly Forney and Michelle Price.

Tickets are on sale at the Community Center, 255 Briargate Road, Cary for $3 through April 17. Tickets also can be purchased at the performance for $4. Children age two and younger are free.

In addition, the Cary Park District's Youth Theater Company of Cary will host a performance of "Laffin' School Reunion" Saturday, April 18. The play is written by Keith Jackson. The performance will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Cary Junior High School, 2109 Crystal Lake Road.
