Help raise awareness for animals at Libertyville's Cook Park

Animal lovers are invited to join Animal Education and Rescue from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at Cook Park in downtown Libertyville to raise awareness of animal abuse and neglect in Lake County. Attendees will meet animals that survived abuse and neglect and are now thriving, help honor the people who protect and fight for animals in Lake County communities, learn about the importance of animals in our lives and tie an orange ribbon around a tree in the park to raise awareness of animal abuse. Sandy Kamen Wisniewski, founder of the nonprofit organization, will give a presentation. Visit www.aear.org or call (847) 816-0831.
