Seidler's pitching, hitting key West Chicago win

West Chicago 7, St. Charles North 5:

Complete-game winning pitcher Peyton Seidler also went 2-for-3 for the victorious Wildcats (5-3, 3-1) in the Upstate Eight River. Jared Smothers went 3-for-3 while Connor Dall had 2 hits. Steve Gutowski and Jake DeLuca drove in 2 runs apiece.

Glenbard North 2, Naperville Central 1:

The DuPage Valley Conference game was scoreless until the 11th inning when Naperville Central (6-6, 0-2) scored in the top of the inning, but the Panthers (8-3, 2-0) responded with the tying and game-winning runs in the bottom of the inning on Anthony Betancourt's 2-run single. Luke Greenberg was the complete-game winning pitcher for Glenbard North, striking out five in a 3-hitter. Ryan Eiermann got a no-decision for Naperville Central, striking out eight and allowing 2 hits and no walks in 9 innings of work. Connor Gurnik doubled home the Redhawks' run.

Lisle 8, Seneca 2:

Grant Haen went 3-for-5 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI for the Lions (4-7, 2-1), who split the Interstate Eight Conference series. Drew English had 2 hits and scored 2 runs. Winning pitcher Alec Van Volkenburg and George Swedie combined on the mound.

Metea Valley 5, Glenbard East 0:

Jack Szott struck out 10 in a 2-hit shutout for the Mustangs (7-2, 2-2) in the Upstate Eight Valley. Blake Nicolls had 2 hits and an RBI while Jack Feeley drove in 2 runs. Michael Sebby went the distance for Glenbard East (3-8, 0-4).

Glenbard South 1, IC Catholic 0:

Dominic Fazzari struck out eight in a complete-game performance for the Raiders (9-2, 4-1) in their Metro Suburban Conference win. Matt Schlipper's sacrifice fly scored Michael Ashe with the game's only run in the sixth inning.

WW South 12, Wheaton North 4:

Complete-game winner Austin Polezoes went 3-for-4 with a double and 3 RBI for the Tigers (3-8, 2-0), who go for the three-game DuPage Valley Conference sweep on Wednesday. Jeran Simpson and Paul Monaco drove in 2 runs. Doug Michalak had 2 RBI for Wheaton North (3-8, 0-2).

Neuqua Valley 4, West Aurora 3:

Nolan Hicks bunted home Tyler Wypiszenski with the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning as the Wildcats (7-3, 3-1) won in the Upstate Eight Valley. Zach Herdman and Wypiszenski had 2 hits. Tyler Bromer pitched into the seventh inning for the win while Danny Wagner notched the save.

Timothy Christian 3, Elmwood Park 2:

The Trojans (5-3, 3-1) scored all their runs in the fourth inning to win in the Metro Suburban Conference. Devin May was the winning pitcher.

Willowbrook 12, Hinsdale Central 7:

Luke Schuemer went 3-for-5 with 3 RBI for the Warriors (11-2), who also received 2-hit performances from Cam Zunkel, Cam Ligocki and Mark Molitor. Matt Pizur pitched 5 innings to earn the win. Michael Johnson homered and drove in 2 runs for Hinsdale Central (4-8).

Westmont 8, Coal City 5:

The Sentinels (10-4, 1-2) won in the Interstate Eight as Charlie Donovan tripled, homered and drove in 2 runs. Joe Donovan also homered. Austin Loehman was the complete-game winner on the mound.
