Come Wine With Me - April 18: An Evening to Benefit Arts Programming at the Prairie Center
The Prairie Center Arts Foundation's wine tasting event, Come Wine with Me, returns for its second year on Saturday, April 18 at 7 p.m. at the Schaumburg Prairie Center for the Arts. Participants will enjoy tastings from a variety of area wineries and micro-breweries. Pairing demonstrations, music courtesy of the Schaumburg Youth Orchestra and Schaumburg Youth Choir, and light appetizers will also be available at the event.
Admission is $35 and includes lite fare for noshing and a commemorative wine glass. Tasting guides will be distributed for note-taking, and guests will be able to take home their favorite tastes - featured wines will be available for purchase at the event. Participating wine vendors/distributors currently include: 90+ Winery, Brassfield Estate Winery, Deutsch Family Wines, d'Vine Wine & Gifts, J. Lohr Wines, Midwest Wine Selections, PRP International, Tantika Imports and Terlato Wines. Beer and liquor participants include Copper Fiddle Distillery, Goose Island, Granite City Food & Brewery, RAM Restaurant & Brewery, Samuel Adams and Stolichnaya. My Chef Station/Baby Carrots Catering, Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe's, Mariano's and Riccardo's will be providing appetizers.

Lots of great raffle prizes will be Raffle items include Tickets to the Chicago Cubs/White Sox Crosstown Classic game for July 12, tickets to the Billy Joel Concert at Wrigley Field for August 27, a skybox for a Schaumburg Boomers Game, a tour of the historic Schweikher House in Schaumburg for eight people, a Magnum package from Cooper's Hawk. Plus, a door prize drawing for a tour and tasting for 10 from Lynfred Winery.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Prairie Center Youth programs including Schaumburg Youth Orchestra, Schaumburg Dance Ensemble, Schaumburg Youth Choir, Schaumburg Summer Theater and Screen Test Student Fest.
The Prairie Center Arts Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to the growth and excellence of cultural arts in Schaumburg. The Foundation fulfills its mission by securing grants, corporate sponsorships and individual donations, and by hosting special events. The Foundation supports the Prairie Center Youth programs, Theatre Buddies and Arts Partners outreach programs for at-risk youth and underserved populations and helps to offset costs for the season of entertainment at the Prairie Center.
