St. Edward 10, Ridgewood 8: Lindsay Zdroik struck out 12 and allowed just 2 hits and 2 earned runs in 6 innings of work and went 2-for-3 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI at the plate as St. Edward held on for a Metro Suburban crossover win. Devyn Ernst (3-for-4, RBI), Megan Strong (2-for-3), Allison Stratman (2-for-4, 2B, HR, 3 RBI), Ryann Scully (3B, RBI) and Emily Stapay (2B) contributed to the offense for the Green Wave (8-1-1).
Jacobs 10, Grayslake Central 6: Emily Borg (2-for-4, 2 RBI) and Kerri Healy each homered for Jacobs (5-7) in its Fox Valley Conference crossover win. Taylor Belo (2-for-4, 2B, RB), Sarah Murray (2-for-4, RBI), Katie Borchert (RBI) and Jess Mrzlak (RBI) also contributed for the Golden Eagles. Alexis Addante was the winning pitcher.
CL Central 5, CL South 1: Jenica Terry was 2-for-3 with a home run for the Gators (8-2) in their FVC crossover loss. Hailee Massie suffered the loss in the circle.
Batavia 4, South Elgin 3: Stacy Bellack was 3-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI for South Elgin (4-7, 2-2) in this Upstate Eight loss in eight innings. Taylor Ford had a double and an RBI and Bailey McClure doubled for the Storm. Allison Kaiser suffered the loss in the circle.
