South Elgin 3, Wheaton Warrenville South 2: Knotted 1-1 at the half, South Elgin (8-1-1) scored twice in the second half for a PepsiCo Showdown win. Delaney Kelleher, Weronika Noyszewski and Alyssa Shipon (2 assists) all tallied goals while Jourdan Valkner made 2 saves in net.

Elgin 3, Leyden 2 (2 OT): Elgin's Nancy Garcia scored the game-winner with 10 seconds left in double overtime for the sudden death victory in the PepsiCo Showdown. Anita Garza led the way with 2 goals and Hannah Demel made 10 saves to help the Maroons improve to 5-2-2 overall.

Streamwood 2, Hinsdale South 1 (2 OT): Alondra Blanco had 2 goals off assists from Tawny Carroll, and Blanco's game-winner in double overtime helped the Sabres (2-5) get a first-round victory in the PepsiCo Showdown. Nathalie Guindon and Yasmine Resendiz both made 2 saves in their respective halves in goal.

Burlington Central 4, Jacobs 1: At the PepsiCo Showdown, Jordan King's hat trick capped Central's win over Jacobs. King scored 2 goals unassisted and Jess Marchetti assisted on another. Elizabeth Gousios added the first goal for the Rockets (6-1) and keeper Erin Rafferty (3 saves) and Abbi Ciganek (9 saves) split time in net. Bailey Adams tallied the only goal by the Golden Eagles.

Westminster Christian 2, Faith Christian 0: Whitney Woodhouse and Amanda Spurlock each had goals for the Warriors (1-1) in the second half of a nonconference win. Mattea Huerta registered an assist and Savannah Dutcher made 6 saves in net.

Plainfield Central 3, Larkin 1: The Royals (1-5-1) fell in the PepsiCo Showdown despite Angela Smith's goal in the first half. Sam Moreno had an assist and goalkeeper Bernice Gomez made 5 saves.

Libertyville 3, CL South 1: CL South (5-2-1) fell behind 3-0 in its opening round loss at the PepsiCo Showdown. Alyssa Gaede notched a second-half goal.

Latin 9, Elgin Academy 0: The Hilltoppers fell behind by 7-0 in the first half of this Independent School League loss. Keeper Catherine Palmer had 16 saves.

Rolling Meadows 2, Dundee-Crown 0: At the Lake Park/Rolling Meadows Tournament, the Chargers (1-5) had their chances, but ultimately came up short after allowing goals in each half. Goalie Isabel Miranda made 4 saves in the loss.
