Fair for the kids in Hanover Park

Hanover Park families browsed through a variety of kid-friendly activities at the Kids at Hope Community Resource Fair Saturday, at the Hanover Park Park District Community Center Gym, 1919 Walnut Ave.

They learned about what programs and services are available in Hanover Park in the areas of home and family, hobbies and recreation, community service and career and education.

"The Kids at Hope Fair is a philosophy that says kids can be successful in life," said Tricia Rossi, the Hanover Park police social worker. "We want to show kids what is out there in the community and what is available to them."

About 50 vendors were at the event.
