McFun for Holmes Middle School McTeacher's

On Wednesday, April 8th, Holmes Middle School held a McTeacher's Night at the McDonald's on 188 E. Dundee Rd. in Wheeling to support the PTO. Teachers took over the restaurant serving up delicious meals to students and families to raise money for the PTO. Many teachers worked very hard including McPrincipal Hopkins and McAssistant Principal Bonilla. The McTeacher jobs included; drive-thru teachers, greeters, teachers cleaning the lobby, front counter teachers, drink teachers, teachers clearing tables, and teachers serving ice cream. Teachers working included: McCall, McGrath, Gouletas, Morris, Hlavacek, Poynor, Gawron, Rein, Share, Valentin, Lindholm, Hummel, Liro and Giancola. There were even teachers singing for tips. Holmes Middle School McTeachers had it all covered, and the families all had a great time. All the kids came to see their teachers work at the Wheeling McDonald's. Staci Allan and Arlen Gould from the District 21 Board of Education both came to support Holmes Middle School McTeacher's Night as well. A special appearance by Ronald McDonald helped make this fundraiser a memorable evening. Special thank you goes to Maria Roland, PTO President, who organized the entire event. It was a great night! Ronald McDonald's appearance was courtesy of the Wheeling McDonald's owner/operator, Sue Conley.
