Schaumburg Police to Host Senior Scam Presentation on April 30

The Schaumburg Police Department will host a free senior scam presentation in April to raise awareness of scams that target senior citizens.

The presentation will be offered twice on Thursday, April 30; once at 10:30 a.m. and again at 6:30 p.m. Both presentations will be held in the Rasmussen Room South of the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd. Vendor tables and refreshments will be provided one hour prior to each presentation.

The event is free and open to the public. Caregivers and family members of senior citizens are encouraged to attend. Speakers will include detectives from the Schaumburg Police Department Investigations Division.

Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP to either Crime Prevention Specialist Paula Diaz at (847) 348-7274 or the Schaumburg Township District Library at (847) 985-4000.

Seniors who need transportation to the morning presentation can call Schaumburg's Dial-A-Ride service at (847) 352-8097 or Schaumburg Township at (847) 882-1929. Rides must be reserved prior to the event.
