Auditions set for 2015 Summer Place productions

The Summer Place theater is planning auditions for summer season productions pitting Shakespearean actors against zombies, parodying Arthurian legend and recreating a musical classic.

"William Shakespeare's Land of the Dead" is a comedic take on actors-versus-zombies, wrapped around the lines and plots of Shakespeare's famous plays. The show will be performed the weekends of June 12 to 21 in the auditorium at Naperville Central High School.

The third production, "Camelot," is the classic musical with a timeless score by Lerner and Loewe, filled with romance, pageantry and betrayal in King Arthur's ideal society. This show will be performed July 31 to Aug. 9 in the auditorium at Naperville Central High School.

Auditions for "Camelot" are 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 16, and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, at the Alfred E. Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 W. Jackson Ave., Naperville. Callbacks, if needed, will be 7 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 20.
