Images: A Fox Lake Region hotels Retro Gallery

The Fox Lake-Grant Township Area Historical Society researched and created a project on Fox Lake Region Hotels & Resorts. It was presented at various locations in the Fox Lake area.

The photos give a glimpse into the resort life that started in the 1870s as paddlewheel steamboats established routes to the area. Prohibition, the Great Depression and fires had a huge impact on the industry. For information about the society or to purchase photos, visit www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ilflahs.
