The Bridge to celebrate 50 years at gala April 18

The Bridge Youth and Family Services is celebrating a monumental milestone at its upcoming gala; A half century of serving children and families living in six townships in Northwest suburban Cook County.

The 501 (c)(3) organization will host its annual event on Saturday, April 18, which is themed, "Building a Bridge to the Future." The fundraising event will celebrate the organization standing the test of time while providing counseling and therapy, crisis intervention, substance abuse counseling and an array of other services for Cook County residents living in Palatine, Schaumburg, Barrington, Hanover, Elk Grove and Maine townships.

The honorary chair of the event is famed television producer Bill Kurtis, and the event chairs are Diane Hill, Deb Strauss and Michael Strauss.

The gala will include a five-star dinner at The Meadows Club in Rolling Meadows, along with silent and live auctions, raffles and dancing to music performed by The Dan Hayes Orchestra. Guests will hear stories recited by volunteers which will paint a picture of how The Bridge has provided vital services to children and families over the last 50 years.
