214@100: BGHS's innovative Noggin Squad

Recognizing a need for increased student support in the area of technology, Buffalo Grove High School launched the Noggin Squad - a peer-to-peer tutoring center that supports the school's iPad pilot program and helps students maximize technology-based learning. Operating like a student-run help desk, members provide classmates help using the iPad to master classroom projects, with specific guidance on relevant educational apps and digital literacy. The group also has helped with community outreach initiatives, including the school's "Closing the Generation App" night and the "iPad Playground" opportunity provided during parent-teacher conferences.
