Naperville kids race for eggs, parents race to record the fun

The race for kids on Saturday at Frontier Park in Naperville was a dash to grab as many Easter eggs as possible, as quickly as possible.

The race for parents during the Naperville Jaycees' annual Easter egg hunt was a technology sprint, challenging them to grab their smartphones and capture the whole frenzied hunt on video.

Jaycees advised families to arrive at least a half-hour early for the event, which began at 8:55 a.m. And the 10 minutes the club's website said the hunt would take was a generous estimate, as kids snapped up all the colorful plastic eggs in seemingly a matter of seconds.

The club also collected food donations for Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry during the annual Easter weekend tradition.
