Elgin Symphony League to host ESO cellist Mark Kuntz April 9

The Elgin Symphony League will hold its spring general meeting on Thursday, April 9, at the Evangelical Covenant Church, 1565 Larkin Ave., Elgin.

Dinner will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m., followed by a presentation by guest speaker Mark Kuntz, a cellist with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra, and one of the few musicians who has been with the orchestra since its beginnings at Elgin Community College in the early 1970s.

Kuntz, who graduated from the American Conservatory of Music then joined their faculty for 13 years, has been an adjunct faculty member at ECC for 38 years and currenly teaches science. He will share his love of music and science, especially geology, with his audience.

Reservations are requested and the cost of the dinner is $15. To reserve a spot, contact Jeanne Hebeisen (847) 741-6264 or email Jeanne@mc.net.

The Elgin Symphony League is open to anyone who loves music and wishes to help support the award-winning Elgin Symphony Orchestra.
