Believe Project: $100 for sons to buy blankets, toys for shelter dogs

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Sherri Thomas of Vernon Hills.

Here is an excerpt of her suggestion:

"I'd like to nominate my sons, Ethan and Noah Thomas. They love dogs and would use the money to buy blankets and toys for the dogs at Orphans of the Storm animal shelter in Riverwoods. We have donated our old dog's toys and bowls before and bring newspapers to the shelter when we can. It breaks their hearts to see the dogs in their cages and many of them only have newspaper to lie on. They'd really like to help and the money would allow them to purchase needed items to make the dogs' life a little better."
