Faithful in Villa Park take a Good Friday walk

As Christians around the world celebrated their faith on Good Friday, about 100 DuPage County faithful took part in St. Alexander Catholic Church's Good Friday Walk.

Led by Brendan McArdle carrying the cross, participants in the annual event started at the Villa Park church and walked about a mile together in a journey through the Stations of the Cross. At 14 locations, the group paused to pray and reflect on the end of Jesus' life and his crucifixion.

This was the 23rd year St. Alexander's has hosted the Good Friday Walk. Following the prayers and reflection, participants returned to the church for soup and bread.
