Local boy, local laughs

Sing 'Hosanna'

Meet and greet some of the stars from the 1973 film adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's rock opera "Jesus Christ Superstar" this weekend. Animal Expo

See reptiles, birds, small exotic mammals and small livestock at Scott Smith's All Animal Expo in Building 1 at the DuPage County Fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Road, Wheaton. Check out hedgehogs, tarantulas, ferrets and more. Between 70 and 80 vendors will be on hand with pet supplies, including cages, tanks, bedding, toys and decorative items. $5; free for kids 10 and younger with a paying adult. Chamber class

Acclaimed violinist and teacher Miriam Fried leads the chamber concert musicians from Ravinia's Steans Music Institute in a concert featuring compositions by Boccherini, Mendelssohn and Schoenberg at the Ravinia Festival's Bennett Gordon Hall, Highland Park. $10. Mucho music
