Flea and craft market at Glenbard South
Glenbard South High School will sponsor a two-day Flea, Craft & Thrift Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 18 and 19, at the Field House at 23W200 Butterfield Road, Glen Ellyn.
Admission and parking are free.
Shoppers will find an extensive variety of handcrafted goods, collectibles, antiques and thrift-store finds. Each day also will feature a bake sale and concessions. Glenbard South student musicians and artists participate.
“It's very much an indoor bazaar experience,” said Julie Hasiewicz, the market's co-chairman, member of the Glenbard South Boosters and GSHS alum. Proceeds are used to award scholarships to students in need and help underwrite student activities.
Residents also can help in one of the following ways:
• Renting a booth. There are still a few spaces available for vendors.
• Donating thrift items. The Boosters accepts donations of household goods, small furniture and collectibles to sell.
