A clear difference in Bensenville

A clear difference in Bensenville

Several years ago my wife and I retired to a community called Bridgeway of Bensenville. We have been extremely happy with our decision to move to this wonderful retirement facility.

What we didn't know was anything about the village of Bensenville. We have since experienced wonderful shopping opportunities that exist within the boundaries of this community. We do not have to travel very far until all of our needs are met.

On March 21, we had the privilege of attending the State of the Village of Bensenville address given by Village President Frank Soto at our facility. It was a very clear picture of where the village was years ago, where it is now and what is being done to take it into the future.

Some of the statistics that we heard were as follows: crime is down 38.9 percent and home values have risen 9.7 percent.

What has impressed us as residents of Bensenville is the approachability of the village president and village trustees to the needs of seniors, and the plans they have in place to make our lives more enriched. It is a community based upon customer service and listening to the concerns of their residents. The village of Bensenville has a stated plan to bring more business and industry into the community for a better tax base.

In times like these, it is hard to trust our elected officials, but in Bensenville there is a clear difference. We enthusiastically endorse JoEllen Ridder, Bob Jarecki and Luiz Tellez to be elected as trustees. Their goals and plans are well stated to bring the best to the community and to each resident in the village.
