Bartlett 11, Glenbard North 1: Alyssa Nowak was 3-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI and Danielle Kirby fired a 4-hitter with 6 strikeouts and no walks as the Hawks (3-2-1) notched an impressive 5-inning win over highly touted Glenbard North. Elyse Hickey went 2-for-4 with a double and 3 RBI for Bartlett and Katie Fornoff was 3-for-4 with an RBI.
St. Edward 3, Elmwood Park 0: The Green Wave moved to 3-0-1 for the season with this Metro Suburban crossover win. Junior Lindsay Zdroik spun a 1-hitter with 17 strikeouts and Ryann Scully was 2-for-3 with an RBI for St. Edward. Allison Stratman added a double.
South Elgin 17, ACC 7: Hannah Gordon and Bailey McClure (2-for-4, 4 RBI) each hit home runs for South Elgin (2-4) in this nonconference win over Aurora Central Catholic. Also contributing to the Storm's 17-hit attack were Rachel Ziemba (2-for-4, RBI), Cassidy Westlund (3-for-4, 3B, 2 RBI), Taylor Ford (3-for-4, 2B, 3 RBI), Bri Pena (3-for-3, 2 doubles, 2 RBI), Rachael Hopp (2-for-4, 2 RBI) and Alissa Hargett (2 RBI). Annamae Valdivia was the winning pitcher.
