Budget-friendly fun: Elmhurst hosts Easter weekend 'Hop' screening

Elmhurst City Centre presents a screening of the 2011 live action/computer animated family film “Hop” at the York Theatre, 150 N. York St., Elmhurst. “Hop” is rated PG and features the voice of Russell Brand as E.B., a rabbit who doesn't want to follow in the steps of his father, Mr. Bunny. Ten thousand eggs

Children ages 1 to 9 are invited to search for more than 10,000 eggs at the 18th annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 1060 E. Peterson Road, Grayslake. More than 300 prizes are offered with the hunt. Children will be divided into three age categories. The Easter Bunny will be on hand to greet guests. Free admission. Participants are asked to bring a nonperishable food product for donation to the local food pantry. Cantigny's Easter Egg Hunt

Search for eggs throughout the grounds at the Easter Egg Hunt at Cantigny Park. 1S151 Winfield Road, Wheaton. Hundreds of plastic eggs will be hidden, rain or shine. Prizes given out for egg hunt participants at prize stations in park. Meet “Mr. Bunny” at McCormick Museum and “Mrs. Bunny” at the First Division Museum. Kids can paint an egg-shaped ornament in the Education Center. Free admission with paid $5 parking fee. Animal Expo
