High point at Loras for Stevenson's Heiser

Stevenson graduate Tony Heiser enjoyed a big week for the Loras College baseball team and earned one of the school's Champion of the Week honors.

The sophomore outfielder helped lead his team to a pair of conference wins.

In the home opener against Simpson, he belted his second home run of the season to tie the game at 3-3. The home run ignited the Duhawks and kept the game alive.

With the game still tied at 3-3 in the bottom of the seventh, Heiser returned to the plate with an opportunity to be the hero.

He came through with a single up the middle that brought home the game-winning run and gave Loras the first win of the weekend.

He had another standout performance the next day against Simpson, finishing the weekend 8-of-14 with 7 RBI. Heiser raised both his on-base percentage (.500) and his batting average (. 449).
