Make good choices for regional board

The DuPage Regional Board of School Trustees is an elected body which hears petitions from homeowners wanting to modify their school district boundaries. While limited in scope, the work of this board has far reaching consequences for taxpayers, students and school districts throughout DuPage County. Unfortunately, the ballot question can be confusing because only one person can be elected in each Township.

I serve as Vice Chair of the Board with Chairwoman Laura Pollastrini who has served this board with distinction. Laura is an experienced, talented and objective voice on the board and I strongly support her re-election.

Gerald "Jerry" Allen was appointed to this board three years ago. He brings a wealth of both professional and civic experience to this volunteer position. I found him to be devoted, objective and judicious, and enthusiastically support his election to the Board. He is the third person listed on the ballot from Milton Township and only one Milton representative can be elected.

Please join me in electing both of these dedicated citizens to the Regional Board of School Trustees.
