Burlington Central rolls in Florida opener

The Burlington Central baseball team opened its spring break trip to Florida on Saturday with a resounding 15-0 win over Aquinas Institute.

Brenden Bushy and Parker Boron each pitched 2 innings of the four-innning game, each allowing only 1 hit. Boron had 3 strikeouts and Bushy 2.

Andrew Lauber had a triple for the Rockets (2-0), while Jake Johnson had 2 doubles and Tanner Smith and Killian Vascica added a two-bagger each. Smith (2 RBI), John Murphy (RBI), Lauber (2 RBI), Vascica (RBI), Max Judnic and Johnson (3 RBI) each had 2 hits. Avery Moore also had 2 RBI.
