St. Charles library to offer intro to computer class

The St. Charles Public Library, 1 S. Sixth Ave., is offering a free computer class for St. Charles library cardholders in April.

Computer and Internet Basics is two 2-hour sessions that must be taken in succession on Monday, April 13 and Tuesday, April 14 from 10 a.m. to noon.

This orientation to computers is ideal for those who have had little exposure to computers. There will be an overview of parts of the computer and terminology including: desktop, menus, mouse instruction, scrolling, clicking, keying (typing), saving, and basic Internet skills. Successful completion of the class is a prerequisite to all other computer classes offered.

All classes are held in the Tech Center and are open to St. Charles Public Library cardholders. A $10 refundable cash deposit is required at the time of registration.
