Vernon Hills dominates in shutout
Jack Duffley, Eric Weiler and Brendan Keogh combined on a 5-hit shutout, as Vernon Hills' baseball team defeated Northridge Prep 15-0 Thursday.
The pitching trio received more than enough run support, as the Cougars cruised to the five-inning victory. Connor McNamara homered and went 2-for-2 with 2 RBI, while Duffley helped his own cause by going 2-for-2 with a double and 2 RBI.
Tommy Earhart, Joey Marras, Chris Kahn, Drew Winegarder, Keogh, Nick Conrad and Matt Paszko also had hits for Vernon Hills.
