Believe Project: $100 toward medical bills of friend who suffered aneurysms

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Joanne Neumaier of Palatine.

Here is an excerpt of her suggestion:

"A year ago my dear friend, a father of two from Elk Grove Village, suffered three aneurysms on his brain stem due to an arteriovenous malformation (AVM). The procedure used to stop the bleeding left him with partial loss of limb control and loss of sensation and motor function. This unexpected journey has been life-changing, but one they have taken with much grace and love. The money would go toward helping them cover his new medications, therapy and in home care. Every bit helps.

• The Believe Project mails a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else.
