Tix on sale April 1 for Solstice Hop and Vine Fest, presented by Schaumburg Bank & Trust, a Wintrust Community Bank

Plan ahead to toast in summer with the best of Illinois' wines and brews at the annual Solstice Hop & Vine Fest, Presented by Schaumburg Bank & Trust, a Wintrust Community Bank.

Tickets go on sale April 1 for the annual celebration, which supports recreation scholarships and other projects of the Schaumburg Park Foundation. Advance purchases are available through schaumburgparkfoundation.org, by phone at 847-985-2115, or in person at Spring Valley, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road and the Jerry Handlon Administration Building, 235 E. Beech Dr., in Schaumburg.

This year will feature live music by The Ken Slauf Band and The Unusual Suspects, nature walks among the fireflies and food from Chandler's Chophouse, The Melting Pot, Moretti's Ristorante and Pizzeria, Riccardo's Ristorante, The Sweet Escape and Whole Foods Market.

A wonderful selection of wineries is led by Lynfred, the event's host winery. Other beverage purveyorss include Acquaviva Winery, Church Street Brewing Company, Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurants, Fox Valley Winery, Hailey's Winery, Ltd., The Lucky Monk, Noon Whistle Brewing, Costco, Ram Restaurant and Brewery, Village Vintner Winery, Brewery and Restaurant, and Wild Blossom Meadery and Winery.

Fest admission includes a commemorative wine or beer glass. Package sales are also available on-site, giving attendees a chance to take home their favorites.

The event sells out every year, so early purchase is recommended. Tickets are $30. Online purchases incurring an addition $1 convenience fee. The event is held rain or shine.

Guests must be age 21 to attend. A valid ID is required. Complimentary parking will be available at James B. Conant High School, 700 E Cougar Trail, Hoffman Estates, with shuttle service to the fest grounds.

Due to the natural event venue, conservative footwear is recommended.
