Quilt show opens Thursday in Rosemont

The International Quilt Festival opens Thursday, March 26, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center 5555 N. River Road, Rosemont, and runs through Saturday, March 28.

Last year, more than 10,000 attendees came from around the country and internationally to shop, view exhibits and take classes. This year, the festival will have more than 200 shopping booths, 700 quilts on display and 40 classes.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for people 65 and up and for students. Children 10 and under free with paying adult. More information is at www.quilts.com.
