Boomers to host all-star game in July

For the first time in team history, the Schaumburg Boomers will host the 2015 Frontier League All-Star Game on July 15 at Boomers Stadium.

The Boomers also want to share the all-star experience by offering one ticket to the All-Star Game and the Home Run Derby on July 14 with each seat purchased in any season ticket or Boomers Bundle plan.

The all-star game will feature the top players from the 14-team independent league in a matchup of the East and West divisions.

"We look forward to showcasing the league's top talent at Boomers Stadium for these two days in July," said Pete Laven, Boomers president and general manager.

The game will also feature special appearances by famous entertainment acts Zooperstars, Birdzerk, and the Jesse White Tumblers. The evening will conclude with postgame fireworks show.

The Home Run Derby on July 14 and All-Star Game on July 15 will both begin at 6:30 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.
