Celebrity bowling event raises $18,000 for anti-bullying programs

Jarrett Payton partnered with Kings Bowl for the first "Strike Against Bullying" celebrity bowling tournament held at Kings in Rosemont, 5505 Park Place, in MB Financial Park, Thursday, March 5. The event raised more than $18,000 for The Jarrett Payton Foundation's anti-bullying programs.

The fundraiser combined bowling, dining, and celebrities for an unforgettable evening. Argus Brewery, Associated Agencies, Cy Fredrics, Impact Sales/Isi Midwest, JWP, LLC., LG-PR, MetLife, Millenia Products Group, Primus Electronics, Power Forward DuPage, Tat Cave, Serafin & Associates, Inc., Sprovieri's and Wheatland Realty sponsored teams composed of six people and a celebrity guest.

Celebrity guests in attendance included Jarrett Payton, George McCaskey, Charles "Peanut" Tillman, Israel Idonije, Jerry Azumah, Rashied Davis, Peggy Kusinski, Ryan Baker, Dionne Miller, John Garcia, David Haugh, David Kaplan, Jim Cornelison and Chris Boden.

All of the players and guests enjoyed a sampling of Kings' event menu, including sesame ginger wings, steak skewers and shiitake mushroom spring rolls with a sweet soy drizzle.

Located in Rosemont, Kings Bowl has established itself as a premier venue for entertainment, food, cocktails and, of course, bowling. Kings is located in Rosemont's MB Financial Park entertainment district, which is home to 13 venues offering a variety of dining and entertainment options.

The Jarrett Payton Foundation is a 501(c)(3) whose mission is to positively impact the lives of children and adolescents by creating and providing programs that develop leadership skills and enrich their lives. The two main programs of The Jarrett Payton Foundation, Project No Bull and The Jarrett Payton Leadership Academy, are dedicated to spreading the sentiment Jarrett's father repeated to him time and time again: "We are all more similar than we are all different."
