Ehemann's quickly a hit for Mundelein
Softball
Meghan Ehemann made the most of her first varsity softball at-bat.
The sophomore designated player came to bat with a runner on base in the second inning and pulled a 3-2 pitch over the fence in left field. Mundelein went on to beat host Trinity 4-3 at Triton College on Saturday.
Maddie Zazas and Maria DeVito each doubled for the Mustangs (2-0).
"They were really good," Mundelein coach Brett Wilhelm said of the Blazers. "It was a great game. We had to really work our tails off to win this one."
Ehemann finished the game 1-for-2 with her homer and a walk, as well. Nicole Parney (2-0) went the distance in the circle, allowing 2 earned runs, striking out four and walking one.
