Lecture by author and Holy Land traveler March 25

Author and Holy Land traveler Marilyn Huntman Giese will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Elburn Community Congregational Church, 100 E. Shannon St. in Elburn.

She will talk about her travels in the Holy Land as well as her publications, which include "The Eye of God: A Fisherman's Tale and "When the World Changed, A Revolutionary Peace," a photo journal.

Her interest the lives of early Christians led to travels in Rome, Greece, Israel and Turkey where she searched out the places where Jesus' life and teachings spawned a revolution in human thought and action. Her faith and her long-lived passion for writing and living the Christian life resulted in a beautiful picture story of the life of Jesus and historical novel about the life of Peter.

"When the World Changed, A Revolutionary Peace" is a color photo journal that follows the life of Jesus of Nazareth throughout the land of Israel. It is highlighted with fourth-century artwork found in Christian churches in Turkey.

"The Eye of God: A Fisherman's Tale" is a Christian novel of the life of the Galilean fisherman Simon, who was called Peter by Jesus.
