Oak Brook collector wins Amelia concours

At last weekend's prestigious Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance in Florida, Oak Brook resident Ed Schoenthaler took home the Best of Show award with his 1930 Cord L-29 Brooks Stevens Speedster.

Stevens was an industrial designer and this Cord was his first automotive project. He modified it for himself and owned it until his death in 1995.

Schoenthaler purchased the car from the estate two years later and had it fully restored.
