Northwest Celtic Fest returns to Hoffman Estates March 22
The fourth annual Northwest Celtic Fest, a celebration of Celtic heritage, will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at the Sears Centre Arena, 5333 Prairie Stone Parkway in Hoffman Estates.
The event includes a Celtic marketplace, live music and entertainment, Celtic cuisine, activities, free games for children, and a Scotch and beer tasting. Event parking and entry are free.
The word "Celtic" is often used to describe people of Brittany, Cornwall, Ireland, Isle of Man, Scotland and Wales, as well as their respective cultures and languages.
Several additions to the festival for 2015 include a greater selection of live entertainment as well as an expansion of the marketplace with new vendors to enhance the celebration.
