Believe Project: $100 for stocked backpacks for homeless people

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Angela Golden of Fox River Grove.

Here is an excerpt of her suggestion:

"I have been working on 'project backpack inspiration,' which gives homeless people the opportunity to give an inspirational quote that keeps them positive in return for a backpack with some essentials in it for an easier time on the street. The $100 would be able to create five backpacks with water, snacks, clean socks, hat, gloves, a tooth brush and toothpaste, comb, deodorant, hand warmers, a small flashlight, hand sanitizer, a poncho, an emergency blanket to stay dry/warm, a wash cloth, adhesive bandages and tissues. To some on the streets, this could be everything!"

• The Believe Project mails a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else.
