Police search for woman who robbed Schaumburg bank

Schaumburg police are searching for a woman who robbed the BMO Harris Bank at 2401 W. Schaumburg Road of an unspecified amount of money Monday morning, authorities said.

According to police, the woman entered the bank at 9:15 a.m. and presented a note demanding money from a bank teller. The bank employee complied and gave the woman an unspecified amount of currency, police said.

The woman, who was wearing a stocking cap, eyeglasses, jeans and what appears to be a hooded sweatshirt, left the bank and got in the passenger side of a light blue four-door “beater” type vehicle with a dent on the rear passenger side quarter panel, police said.

No one was injured during the robbery.
