Holidays not the same for everyone

Regarding a previous writer's complaint about the phrase "Hopping holiday" referring to Easter: Calm down.

Where in your religion does it mention Easter eggs, let alone hunting for them? Where does it state that Dec. 25 is Christ's birthday?

Orthodox Christians celebrate his birthday on Jan. 7, and adults have the Easter baskets with "Paska," bacon, salt and colored eggs, taken to church to be blessed with holy water about a week or two after "American" Easter.

So many adults show up at church, the services are held outdoors in the parking lots.

Bless you for your Christian understanding of those that aren't exactly like you.
