Long Grove choices missed a good one

The Daily Herald endorsed Stanley Borys, Bill Jacob, and Charlie Wachs for Long Grove Trustees. I applaud two of your three endorsements.

However, you overlooked the third person on the Borys, Jacob slate: Michael Sarlitto. He is highly qualified to contribute to our village's future. His depth of knowledge on village issues, strong business background and viable ideas for building a strong community make Sarlitto very deserving of your endorsement and his election as a village trustee.

As a board member, Charlie Wachs has had years to invest in, and grow, Long Grove. Look at our downtown to see the efficacy of his tenure - the historic business district grows more dismal by the day.

"If you always do what you've always done, you will always get what you've always gotten."

In my opinion, if Wachs is re-elected, we will have a "board too cozy" and much more of the same. It's time for progressive, positive change in Long Grove and that will come with the election of Jacob, Borys and Sarlitto.
