Trader Joe's in Schaumburg to open March 20
Trader Joe's will open its new 12,600-square-foot store at 1426 E. Golf Road in Schaumburg at 8 a.m. Friday, March 20.
A short ceremony will accompany the opening of the new store in the Woodfield Village Green shopping center, to which village officials have been invited.
In response to strong interest from residents, Schaumburg officials had long pursued bringing a Trader Joe's to the village.
Trader Joe's began in 1958 in the Los Angeles area. Since then, Trader Joe's has expanded to more than 400 stores in 35 states, including more than 20 locations in the Chicago area.
